What we’re exploring
Our research looks at where small, intentionally designed tools or improved workflows might reduce administrative pressure for both funders and applicants.
We want to understand what is actually useful, ethical, and feasible within a variety of funding environments, to learn where the best opportunities for intervention may be.
This work stands on the shoulders of giants. Many have recognised the systemic problems and huge externalised costs of administrating public resources, and although alternatives have been trialled, most have struggled to stick.
Our research asks, what has been tried? What are the opportunities and costs for all stakeholders? How might we imagine alternative models?
We’re looking for
Funders
Grant managers, public agencies, NGOs/charities, and philanthropic organisations willing to share their experiences and insights.
Applicants
NGOs, researchers, startups, and community organisers who navigate funding processes and can speak to their practical realities.
Advisors
Professionals in grant management, public policy, evaluation, digitalisation, or data ethics.
Partners
Organisations interested in co-developing research activities or testing small scale prototypes.
